then my last 4 sngs I couldnt shit... some pretty solid hands didnt hold again and again and again. The most used phrase during the session was "that was sick" I was constantly saying it every 2 minutes

I played so many big hands and could not hit a draw to save my life. Then I donked off 200 bucks playing way over this guy's head. I had played over 1000 hands with this one dude and I knew he had me beat but instead of just cutting my losses I fell directly into his trap and put in my last 80 bucks. So depressing when I knew I was 100% beat and could not win the hand.

I lost like 400 bucks (2 buy in's) I think it is time to go back to sngs... I cant handle these swings. Maybe i'll give it a try some other time

Small morning session

Played about an hour.

Started out losing about 80 bucks on the 1st 5 hands. I have no regrets at all on all 5 hands they just sucked!


Grinded my way all the way back to up 80 and then I decided to stop.

I only had one big hand, which was KK against a guy that was just steaming. I only took 50 bucks off of him but there was some dead money in the pot which was nice. Other than that I just grinded my way back to up 80.

I am going to do some homework then watch some tv and hit it again probably around 2:30ish.

The KK hand I put him on a big diamond, and I was going to check call him down with kings unless a diamond hit, then I would get rid of it. When he min-raised me on the flop I honestly thought I was good, so what I SHOULD HAVE DONE was put in a nice size reraise right there get him off his "draw", then I would have found out right then and there that he wasnt on any draw and could have got away from the hand.

I have to be able to get away from these overpairs in cash games, calling off all my money with an overpair in this kind of situation is a bad thing and a losing proposition. If I contine doing this and calling off big bets on the end with only tptk, I will not make money playing ring games. I will try to play better with my big hands tomorrow.

I was up a nice chunk of change today but gave most of back on that KK hand and it kinda steamed me, so I stopped playing. However, I did make 90 bucks today, so I can't complain. And today was the 1st day I really gave cash games a try. I made money, and could have made a lot more if I hadnt been too attached to my KK there.

On a more positive note I took away many many many pots from people. I was capitalizing on weakness and raising in position and c-betting flops. It truely is amazing how much c-betting my hands works with my position raises. Maybe I was just getting mad respect today, but I really felt as though I was outplaying most everyone at every single table. I just need to focus in when I have tptk and overpairs. I know that generally when the lead is taken away from me my hand is no good, It is just hard for me to adjust to this because I am and have been a sng player for so long and when I have an overpair or tptk in a sng I am going to the felt with it, and if I lose, I will just load up another one. Cash games you need to be a lot more careful with ur chips because losing a buy in is 200 bucks, not 30!

By checking on the river I feel like I opened the door for him to bluff off, and thats exactly what he did. It felt good to take down this pot, even though I won some much bigger pots on the session. I might play some sngs later, but i'm not quite sure.

Decided to pay hill back today so I shipped him 450 more to make it 500, now I have my own roll. Ever since then I havnt been able to win a damn thing... pretty standard.

Small session

Got done class so I decided to load up some sngs. Played 6 and didnt do too well. I was just getting very unlucky, couldnt hit a flop, couldnt win a coin flip ect..

In one I did manage to get to heads up and was outchiped 10.5k to 3k and this guy just pushed every hand of heads up, I ended up getting 55 in againt A5 soooted and ended up losing.

Lost $78 on the session, ill probably play a little later and hopefully run a bit better

Just finished a session

Been playing for the last 3 hours, played 10 sngs and was VERY Patient heads up. I actually won 6 of the 10 sngs, which is awesome. I made 374 bucks!!

I felt like I was playing really well and I was getting a little lucky too!

I am attacking weakness and taking my medium and short stacks and building them up nicely.

I am stabbing at uncordinated boards when its a limped pot, and taking it down a lot. I am raising a lot heads up when I sense weakness and being very patient.

It is nice to be able to finally take down these sngs once I get heads up. I just have to be very very patient and eventually I can usually get them.

I probably am done for the night, I have class tomorrow morning at 9AM, and I need to write a paper for english. I will prolly grab some food and maybe go back to the gym and run 6 miles.

I think part of my problem lately was that I wasnt taking advantage of players showing weakness. I was only playing my own 2 cards. Today I raised every time I saw weakness and it worked almost every time. I think it didnt work 1 time! So I think thats what really got me over the hump.

I played INCREDIBLY well tonight and got VERY VERY VERY unlucky, but I am proud of myself, I played awesome and got my chips in good soooooo many times, but Lee had none of it.

I made a profit, so its all good... in that 4 hour session or so I made more than 10 bucks an hour, but damn I could have made a crap load more.

Havnt had much time at all lately to post on here.

I visited UMD- College Park on Friday and I really like it there. I am visiting Towson on Monday, so at least I will have something to compare it to now. Pretty much all my credits transfer which is sully.. soo we shall see

I have been playing some heads up matches the last couple of days.. I sharkscope any table that someone has sat down at and if they are a fish I sit with them. I have made about 50 bucks through about 6 of them (playing 20's and 30's)

Soooo tired

I am really really really tired for some reason today. I guess I didnt get enough sleep last night, whatever the case I think I am too tired to play poker tonight and might actually go to bed by 11:00 or so tonight.

I played a couple sngs early this morning before class and did terrible, only made the money in 1 of 5 I played in and took 2nd. Lost a lil more than 30 bucks. (Only played 20.00 sngs)

I got owned pretty good in one sng and got bad beated out of 1, but all in all I felt like I played fairly well. Definetly not my best game, but def. not my worst either.

I had to clean out the basement tonight because my mom is finally getting the basement finished, the guy is starting tomorrow so I had to carry mad shit into the garage all day and tonight, so I didnt have much time to play many sngs

After that disaster on Sunday playing the satellites I lost about 200 bucks and my account was down to 190 ish. I loaded up 1 30.00 sng and sharkscoped it. To my amazement there were FIVE SHARKS and every single person in the sng had made at least 1k. So instead of loading up more 30's I loaded up three 20's.

I ended up finishing 1st in the 30 and busting out in all of the 20's. (Go figure)
Had 2 bad beats in the 20's and lost a flip deep in the other one. I ended up making about 30 bucks from the small session. Its almost midnight now and I still have to watch mad money, so I gotta run. I'll take a winning day any way I can get it!

Marvell

Marvell is still hanging around 18.50, cant seem to find a big push. I am still confident in the pick and think it will get to 25. However, I am starting to see why 2,000 in the stock market just isnt enough money. If I were to get a 25% return on my 2000 investment that would only be a profit of 500 bucks, which really sucks for the time I will be waiting on the stock. It almost seems imossible to make good money in the stock market without much to work with. I am gonna stick with Marvel in the meantime and hope it can gain some steam ahead, or until I run outta money :-)

I'll be playing some 30's again tonight. I feel like I am in the zone and I think tonight is the night I break through the Lee Jones barrier. He cannot continue to give me bad beats all throughout february, so I think now is as good of time as any to break through the barrier.

In the 2nd tourney I was hanging around 1500 until the blinds got to 75/150.. I raised up AJ of hearts from the cutoff and the bb who has 750 goes all in... he shows 66. Flop J high, turn 6.. down to 750... 2 hands later I get A10 and push, get called by 77, didnt improve.. gg


In the 3rd I turn the nut flush, go all in and the guy flips 2 pair, hits a boat on the river.. sulllyyyyyyyyy

Took 2nd in the 6th sng, was short stacked the entire time, somehow squeezed my way into the moeny and then a huge pot went down between the 2 big stacks... i pretty much had no shot heads up with the other dude having a 5-1 chip advantage.

I know this sounds a bit elementary, but I think I might have realized my a problem in my game, I was acting too fast and not thinking about what I should do. If I just take a few seconds to think about what I will do before I act I play much better. I started doing it in my last three and made the money in all three, could have just been coincidence, but I dont know!
